Legal and data use
Privacy Policy
Last updated 8 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data Revia collects, why, who can see it, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do. We handle personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the General Application and Implementation Directive 2025.
1. Who is responsible
Vorbtech Innovative Solutions, which runs Revia, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us on WhatsApp at +234 705 070 6655, by phone at +234 706 330 1032, or at hello@revia.vorbtech.com.ng.
When we handle personal data inside files a business client sends us, we act for that client. The Data Processing Terms and the Data Use Policy cover that work.
2. What we collect and why
| What you do | What we collect | Why we use it | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Join a waitlist | Email address, the page you joined from, the date and time, and the policy version shown | To send early-access updates and a confirmation | Your consent |
| Message or call us | Your name, number, message and anything you choose to share | To answer you and discuss your work | Steps you ask for before a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying |
| Order work | Contact details, billing details, instructions, and the files and facts you send | To provide the work, invoice you and keep records | Contract and legal obligation |
| Accept analytics | Pages visited, referring site, broad device and browser type, and approximate location (country, region and city). Plausible does not store your IP address | To understand which pages help visitors | Your consent |
| Visit the website | Technical logs, including IP address, kept by our hosting provider | To keep the website secure and working | Our legitimate interest in security |
When you buy credits, we keep the amount, reference, payment type, and your name and email, on the basis of our contract and legal obligations. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data. Please do not send it to us.
3. Analytics and cookies
This website does not set cookies. If you accept analytics, we count visits using Plausible, which is designed to work without cookies or cross-site tracking. If you decline, Plausible does not load. The Cookie Notice explains this and how to change your choice.
4. Who can see your data
Only the Revia team and the providers who help us run the service can see it. They work under written terms and may use the data only for us.
| Provider | What it does | Where it may process data |
|---|---|---|
| Resend | Sends our email | United States and European Union |
| Plausible Insights | Website analytics, only if you accept | European Union |
| Website hosting and database provider | Runs this website and stores waitlist records | Disclosed on request |
| AI image and text providers | Help produce client work. See the Data Use Policy | Disclosed on request |
| Meta (WhatsApp) | Carries WhatsApp messages under its own terms | Global |
Paystack processes credit purchases, in Nigeria and other countries where it operates. It receives your name, email and payment details, and we never see card or bank details. We may disclose data where the law requires it, or where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim. We do not sell personal data.
5. Transfers outside Nigeria
Some of these providers process data outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we rely on one of the bases in sections 41 to 43 of the Act. These are written contractual protections, your consent, or the need to perform a contract with you or take steps you asked for. We keep a record of the basis for each transfer.
When you join a waitlist, we ask for your consent to these transfers. Protections in the receiving country may differ from those in Nigeria.
6. How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Waitlist email | Until you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes, whichever is first |
| Enquiries that do not lead to work | 24 months after our last contact |
| Client files and instructions | 12 months after delivery, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or we agree otherwise |
| Contracts, invoices and payment records | 6 years, for tax and legal purposes |
| Website technical logs | Up to 30 days |
When a period ends, we delete or anonymise the data. Copies in backups expire on the normal backup cycle.
7. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. AI tools help create marketing materials, and people review the results.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold your data, and give you details and a copy of it;
- correct data that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading;
- erase your data;
- restrict how we use it while a request or objection is resolved;
- stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests, or for direct marketing.
You can withdraw consent at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your analytics choice on the Cookie Notice. Withdrawal does not affect what we did before you withdrew.
To use a right, contact us using the details above. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond without unreasonable delay.
9. Complaints
Please tell us first, so we can try to put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at any time.
10. Security and breaches
We limit access to people who need it and use encrypted connections and access controls with our providers. We scan uploaded files for malware, and we lock sign-in after repeated failed attempts. No system is perfectly secure.
If a breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will notify the Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. If it is likely to put you at high risk, we will tell you immediately, in plain language, and advise you what to do.
11. Children
Revia is for property professionals and businesses. It is not aimed at anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect children's data. If you believe we hold a child's data, contact us and we will remove it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will publish any change here with a new date. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you and ask for consent where it is required.
